A river valley on the edge of settled land — old woods upstream, worked-out mines in the hills, barrows nobody opens twice. You arrive with nothing and become, slowly and permanently, the person who can do everything: split a log, fish the deep pools, smelt a bar, clear the Deeps.

One action at a time, and it keeps going while you are away. Pastoral before it is heroic — honest work in a quiet valley, with the monsters at the edges of it.

The browser version is free and always will be. The desktop release adds the later chapters of the valley.
